“Hi! I’m Jen Gendron. I own and operate Lifestyles Wellness Studio which I opened in 2008. I am certified as a Holistic Nutritionist with Alive Academy earlier this year but did not feel I had the practical skills I needed to begin working with clients so took the HWLC to supplement my training & just completed it this month. I also work as a PRO TRAINER for canfitpro for their Personal Trainer & Fitness Instructor Specialist programs. I love working with clients to help them understand how interconnected their physical, mental and spiritual health is!
I own & operate a studio & am certified in both personal training and group fitness but nutrition has been the missing piece for me! Clients who stay dedicated to their fitness program but aren’t finding the results they are looking for need to evaluate their nutrition and this course has given me the tools I need to take them to that next step!
I loved the interactive aspect of the program & the fact that you had assignments to submit along the way. In the past, I have taken courses that only had a final exam and I loved the regular “check ins” through the assignments. I also enjoyed how diverse they were – from reviewing documentaries to making sauerkraut, the assignments were very interesting & engaging.
I have taken other nutrition certifications in the past that did not provide the practical skills I needed to actually use the knowledge I had gained with clients.”
Jen’s Favorite Green Smoothie
Green Smoothies are a delicious & nutritious option to include in a balanced meal plan for those looking for weight loss. This green smoothie is one of my favorites as it is packed with nutrients & is sweet and delicious! I love the creaminess of the combination of ingredients too! It contains a perfect balance of ingredients to help you manage your blood sugar & leave you feeling full!
Use it as a meal replacement or make it half size as a great snack option!

Tips:
- If you like your smoothie less thick, you can add up to 1/2 cup of water
- To ensure you are getting a variety of nutrients, try switching up your greens each week! Try romaine lettuce, baby kale or other options.
- You can also swap out the mango for other frozen fruits – frozen berries are a great option – if using fresh fruit add a few ice cubes for thickness & to chill your smoothie!
