Today we  want to talk to you about something that is a huge fear. You might totally connect to this right because this is one of the top fears out there. It’s not a fear of flying, or public speaking, or even death.

It’s the fear of SELLING.

You are  probably actually shaking your head in agreement. You’re thinking, “Yep, that’s me. I don’t like being a sales person.” And if you are someone who is building a coaching business, a fitness business, a health business, you need to be comfortable with the idea of taking money from clients, which is essentially, selling, but it’s all about how you shift it and how you see it. So when you shift your mindset – and we’re going to teach you how to do that –  it allows for you to actually be really confident and really comfortable receiving the value for your service.

But how do we do that?

It starts with number one, you’re not selling. You are not a sales person – so we’re going to ditch this mindset right away. You’re not selling. You’re doing something else.

You are SOLVING. So when it comes to actually selling your programs and services, what you’re really doing is you’re actually solving someone’s problem. You’re helping someone transform. You’re giving them a better life or making their life easier somehow and that’s the mentality that you have to get into.  When we shifted to this mindset of problem solving, it totally changed the game for me. It totally changed the game.

So by now you may be thinking, “Well, how do you do that?”

The way we did that was, number one, we made sure that we really, really believed in the programs we was offering. All of the programs – whether it be a online challenge, whether it be a personal training session, whether it be a six week boot camp, we totally knew that this program was amazing and could help somebody.

And it’s actually, it’s being authentic to yourself and it’s actually going to provide the transformation that you state. So if you’re marketing is saying, “I’m going to give you this result”, and that your program will actually provide that,  you know that when you are selling it to someone you are actually solving their problem and you are providing that transformation.

But you have to believe it.  All your marketing can say whatever you want, but you have to know in your heart that your program is damn good. So when you don’t believe in your program, no one’s going to believe in your program. And that is going to make talking about it to people feel like you’re selling. It’s going to feel awkward. Like a sleazy car salesman.

You need to believe in what you are offering. Just sit down with your program. Look at it, read it over, test it. Have your clients give you feedback and that way you’re going to know that what you’re offering is the bomb and you’re getting the results that you promised.

Secondly, always remember that you are here to help someone else. We  like to use the word serving, so when you shift again, from a mindset of serving from just selling,  you’re going to feel like you’re really adding value to people’s lives through your programs.

So it’s going to make talking about your programs super easy because you literally are just sharing your programs and services. Then it’s easy to say to someone “Okay, you know what? I’ve got this really amazing tool and this really amazing program that is going to help you lose weight. That’s going to help you feel amazing. That’s going to make you feel like a better parent and a better partner and all that good stuff that comes along with fitness and nutrition.”

We truly believe that when you know that you are here to serve and that you can provide something to the world that will help someone transform their life, if you are not sharing that and providing that solution, you are actually doing the world a disservice by not providing  that tool.  You really need to be able to provide them with your programs and services.

So think of it from the perspective of “if I’m not giving this, if I’m not serving in some way, even though that is my gift. That is what I have inside of me to provide”, and if you  am choosing not to share it,  then you really are actually providing a disservice. Don’t ever feel  uncomfortable with sharing what you have to offer with the world.

It won’t happen overnight, but honestly, the more that you start to believe in yourself and what you’re doing, the less you’re going to feel sleazy about it and the more you’re going to feel, honestly, this is what you’re meant to be doing.
