Today we are excited to share this recipe for you from recent Holistic Nutrition Weight Loss Expert Program  grad Dawn Daley. It’s an awesome balanced weight loss smoothie to start your day!

“My name is Dawn Daley and I graduated from the Holistic Nutrition Weight Loss Expert Program on November 19, 2018. I am a busy wife, mother and new Grandma who recently graduated from university with a BA after being out of school for over 30 years. I am addicted to knowledge and love learning. 

I decided to take the Holistic Nutrition Weight Loss Expert Program as this course, complimented my Registered Holistic Nutrition certification and gave a different spin on helping clients achieve their weight loss goals. I chose FIT CHICKS because when I listened to the podcasts before enrolling I felt the passion and commitment from Laura and Amanda. They were real people with real struggles and believed in this program. They sold me and I never looked back. I enjoyed every piece of the puzzle.

My favorite part of the program was the final project, which not only pulled all the information together from the entire course, but challenged me to put it into practice. I learned a great deal from this part. The support in this program in phenomenal! You are encouraged by the Facebook community and supported by the strong leaders who wish only that you succeed with your goals.

My personal growth changed substantially. I find I am more aware of what I eat, how much I work out and I work on following the tools I was given throughout the course. I listen to what others are saying about their aches and pains, low energy, sleepless nights and feel very blessed I do not have these challenges and now feel I can confidently offer a solution to others. It just makes sense!

This program is top notch. I have been a student for many years and I feel this program focuses on what many of us women need to know. The name of my weight loss smoothie is Moringa Morning Burst and I created it to give me more energy in the morning and it was a success! I have been taking this for several weeks and found I have been not craving sugar at all and feel very satisfied until lunch. With more energy I am feeling more like working out and being more active.  This smoothie is beneficial for someone looking to lose weight as it rich in antioxidants, and it helps to lower blood sugar levels, which are a great benefit to cravings. It is full of vitamins and minerals that are also good for overall health. It will provide a client with the energy needed to workout and help to stop cravings for sugar. This smoothie follows the Complete in 3 rule – Protein-Moringa powder providing so many amazing benefits, Fat-ground flax seeds which are a high source of essential fatty acids, and Carbs-blueberries and kale, which are excellent in lowering blood pressure.”

 

Dawn’s Moringa Morning Burst Smoothie

Makes 1 16oz serving

Ingredients

  • 10 oz. of almond milk plus 6 oz. water
  • 1/2 of kale
  • ½ Blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon of ground Flax seed
  • 2 tablespoons Moringa Powered – this is sweetened with Stevia therefore no other sweeteners are required.

Directions

  1. Wash and chop kale
  2. Pour 16oz of almond milk into Vitamix
  3. Add ½ of frozen blueberries
  4. Add 1 tablespoon of ground flax seed
  5. Add 2 tablespoons of Moringa powder
  6. Blend on high for 1 min.
  7. ENJOY

ALTERNATIVES

  • If you don’t like Almond milk try coconut milk or hemp milk.  
  • Any type of berries would be good in this nutrient packed smoothie, if you don’t like blueberries try strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries – OR mix them all and do a berry blend!
  • Add spinach instead of kale for a folic acid and iron boost.
